Consistency Manager - Equipment Placement Procedure

This task assumes the following:
  • A PID drawing has been created and multiple equipment components placed.
  • The PID drawing has been synced with an imodel on PlantSight.
  1. Open OpenPlant Modeler and create a new drawing.
    Note: Make sure you use the same WorkSet used for the PID drawing noted above.
  2. Open the Consistency Manager from the Ribbon.
  3. Select the Document option from the Tree group and select the PID drawing.
  4. Click Run to display the results.
  5. Right click on the pump and select a placement class from the context menu:
  6. Use the standard OpenPlant Modeler placement procedure to place the pump.

    A marker will be placed indicating the component has been placed but not committed.

    Note: The procedure for placing the pump above can be used when placing any type of equipment component.
    Note: If a placement is cancelled, it may still be marked in the Consistency Manager. Click Run again to refresh the Instances view.
